“IT HAS BEEN A YEAR THAT HAS TAUGHT US MANY THINGS THAT WE WOULD NEVER HAVE LEARNED IF THERE HAD NOT BEEN THE PANDEMIC”
2020 has been an unusual year. Never until now have we experienced a situation like the one caused by this now, unfortunately, famous COVID 19 virus, whose name will be remembered in newspaper archives for its devastating action on human lives and with very profound social and economic consequences.
Until now it was very normal to make forecasts for the year ahead. Who has not planned to buy a house, a car, hire painters, take a trip, study, celebrate something with the family, etc., when we go from one year to the next?
Any forecast we made for this 2020 that is ending was distorted, if not truncated by the virus.
Confinement, resilience, quarantine, pandemic, infections, deaths, masks, gel, distance, teleworking, ERTES, state of alarm, curfew, new normality, etc., have occupied a large part of our lives in 2020, not only as expressions , but in the reality of our existence.
How to qualify for 2020? Unimaginable? Unexpected? Challenging? It has certainly been heartbreaking for those who have suffered the loss of loved ones. Hard for those who have fallen ill and for their caregivers, who have made every effort to ensure their recovery and, in general, very difficult for everyone.
“WE HAVE MADE GREAT SACRIFICES”
Without a doubt, he has contributed to highlighting the best of human beings when he acts thinking of those who need his help and, therefore, converts the cause of others into his own. The year that is ending has taught us to be more supportive, providing, with what each one has been able, hope to those who suffer.
For us, as entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, it has been a year that has taught us many things that we would never have learned if there had not been a pandemic.
We have made great sacrifices, but we are convinced that they have been worth it.
We have resisted, like someone who holds his breath underwater, discovering a lung capacity of which he was not aware.
We have worked intensely and with more enthusiasm than the first day, if possible.
We have introduced changes in all areas of the company that should provide us with greater efficiency when tourism once again drives the creation of wealth and employment. Something that will happen as soon as a level of security is reached that allows one of the great pleasures of life: traveling.
We have understood that it is the time for those who make decisions and not the time for those who only talk.
We have verified with satisfaction that, no matter how many difficulties arise along the way, we will fight to achieve the objectives we have set for ourselves.
With our best wishes for 2021.
